I have not
yet received the questionnaire. What do I do?
Census forms will continue to be delivered to homes
right up to the week preceding Census Day. If you have not received the
form, and the enumerator has not visited your home by Monday 5th December
2005, please send an email to
I shall be away on
Census Day. What do I do?
Fill in the form on your return and let us know by
using the above contact facilities. An enumerator will come round to
collect it.
I have a newborn baby and I have not yet thought of a name. What do I do?
Just put down “Baby” in the appropriate space on the
questionnaire. Babies born before 28th November should be
included in their parents' form even if they are still in hospital.
I have a
second home? What do I do?
Fill in the questionnaire at your usual address. On the
questionnaire, you should indicate as your main residence the address you
spend most time at.
Should I include a family member who, at the time
of the Census, is staying in a home for the elderly, a hospital or a
home for persons with physical or mental disabilities?
Persons
receiving short-term care at general hospitals, clinics or homes for
the elderly should be included on the form at their usual place of
residence (their home). People receiving long-term care in an
institution will be enumerated by census takers with the population of
the appropriate institution.
Why does Census
2005 ask questions about physical, mental and psychological conditions?
Government and local authorities need accurate information to plan, fund
and implement programs and policies for persons with disabilities. The
questions on disability will provide information needed for the drafting,
management and evaluation of disability programs.
